Do you want to become a member of the National
Society Daughters of the American Revolution?  We
are more commonly called the “DAR”.   We are a
national organization of women descended from the
patriots who fought for freedom in the American
Revolution.  We are founded
upon the principles of
patriotism, historic preservation
, and education.
The Pack Horse Ford Chapter, NSDAR
is c
hartered in Shepherdstown, West
Virginia.  Most, but not all
of our
members are from the vicinity of that
small university town along the banks of
the Potomac.  We are a bright, vibrant,
, and very active
group.  Many of our members have
come to us saying, “My grandmother
used to tell me that one of my ancestors
fought in the Revolution” and “my aunt
Sally was a member of the DAR
.”  So if
you don’t already have your lineage
complete, don’t fret – our
registrar and
other members are prepared to help you
find your way.
